On the opposite side of the graphics card much of the card's red PCB is exposed aside from mounting plate for this cooling system, which is held in by nine screws and an additional four screws near the GPU die.

The FireGL V8600 is based upon the original R600 core, which was introduced with the consumer-grade Radeon HD 2900XT.
