For the Google VP8 video encoding tests, the A10-5800K continued to float between the i3-2120 and i5-2400S under Ubuntu Linux.

The overclocked A10-5800K was able to outperform the i5-2400S when it came to the x264 video encoding.

With the open-source GraphicsMagick program for running various image manipulation tests, depending upon the operation the A10-5800K performance ranged from just shy of the i5-2400S to well ahead of the i5-2400S. The best imaging workload for the AMD Trinity APU was image sharpening where for this workload it ended up being much faster than the i5-3470 Ivy Bridge processor.
