In following up on the AMD A8-3870K Llano APU benchmarks and testing its Radeon HD 6550D graphics, here's some new benchmarks of the integrated Llano graphics. This time around, the performance of the Catalyst Linux driver is being compared to the latest open-source Gallium3D driver code with the Linux 3.2 kernel DRM.

By now most Phoronix readers should be used to the usual driver comparison roundabout. Aside from disabling swap buffers wait in the xorg.conf, it was an otherwise stock configuration. A development snapshot of the Linux 3.2 kernel was used, the latest Mesa 7.12-devel Git code was used along with an xf86-video-ati DDX Git snapshot. The Catalyst 11.11 driver as found in the Oneiric repository was the tested binary blob.
