The m1.xlarge instance was also faster than the Opteron 2384 hardware with the ray-tracing benchmark.

The Opteron 2384 regained a diminutive lead over the EC2 m1.xlarge instance with the multi-threaded Parallel BZIP2 compression benchmark.

The m1.xlarge cloud instance was 12% faster than the AMD Opteron Shanghai workstation with the Himeno Poisson Pressure Solver.

It was also faster with MAFFT.
