ATI: Linux vs. Windows Vista

We've been using Doom 3 as a staple of our Linux benchmarking suite at Phoronix for nearly as long as the game has been around, and this is the first time an ATI graphics card with the Linux has nearly outperformed the much-optimized Windows Catalyst suite. When running at 1280 x 1024 with low and ultra quality settings, the Radeon HD 2900XT under Linux was within a few frames of the Microsoft Windows Vista results.
