From the American Megatrends BIOS, the Express Gate user data can be reset and the time before booting to an OS can be changed. If no selection is made from the Express Gate page, the system will automatically boot into the OS after X seconds (or if it's set to zero it will wait indefinitely until a decision has been made). Alternatively, you can also reset SplashTop from within the desktop environment.

The screen resolution for this Linux desktop can also be adjusted via a graphical interface. When using a 1680 x 1050 LCD monitor, our only options were: 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 800, 1280 x 1024, 1366 x 768, and 1440 x 1050. As this desktop isn't using any specialty Linux graphics driver and there is no 3D acceleration with SplashTop, the display settings are rather basic.

Last but not least for the controls, the microphone and audio output levels for the integrated ADI AD1988B can be adjusted.
