Board Layout:

In the upper right hand corner of the motherboard we have the 24-pin ATX power connector, FDD connector, and four DDR2-800/667/533 DIMM slots. Meanwhile, down in the bottom right hand corner of the motherboard we were presented with four Serial ATA 2.0 ports, two IDE ATA-133 ports, and two USB 2.0 headers. The NVIDIA MCP51 is cooled passively by an aluminum heatsink secured to the Southbridge via pushpins in opposing corners.

At the rear of the motherboard were two PCI Express x16, two PCI Express x1, and three PCI slots. Due to limitations of the NVIDIA nForce 650i, the two PCI Express x16 slots were limited to x8 mode. Above the expansion slots is the NVIDIA C55 Northbridge, which is actively cooled with an aluminum heatsink. Finally, the CPU socket area is free of construction that would otherwise cause issues with some aftermarket heatsinks and water blocks. At the rear of the motherboard are two PS/2, four USB 2.0, one 10/100/1000 Ethernet, one Serial, six audio, and two digital S/PDIF optical and coaxial out. We had no problems with the ECS NF650iSLIT-A layout, but there was not anything special about its design and use of the nForce 650i SLI.
