While not out the door yet, 7.04 Feisty Fawn is the next Ubuntu installment. Ubuntu's Feisty Fawn is slated for release this April and will contain a host of desktop improvements, failsafe X, network roaming support, and a whole lot more. There have already been quite a few "Herd" alpha releases so far and the development has shaped up very well so far. Another new feature in this release is Ubuntu's Migration Assistant. Upon the release of Ubuntu 7.04 we will provide additional coverage of the features found in this release. What will be included with Feisty Fawn is GNOME 2.18.0, X.Org 7.2.0, and the Linux 2.6.20/2.6.21 kernel.
