Conclusion:

Between the three Tyan Tempest motherboards used, there was no clear winner in our set of benchmarks used. All three Bensley motherboards had performed neck-and-neck, and there were no clear advantages or disadvantages with any of the motherboards. From these results it boils down to which motherboard best would serve the individual based upon the features. While for the most part the i5000VF and i5000VS are identical, there are changes when it comes to the onboard networking as well as the expansion slots and Tyan TARO SO-DIMM socket. Outside of these three motherboards there is the Tempest i5000XT, i5000PW, and i5000PX. Currently the Tempest motherboards are selling $350~400+ USD depending upon the model. We had run into no hardware or software issues with either the i5000VF or i5000VS (except for LM_Sensors), and overall they are yet another great Tyan creation.
