Acer AL1715b 17" LCD Monitor

Conclusion:

Although the Acer AL1715b LCDs don't offer any high flying features like you would find on a higher priced solution; such as DVI support, HDTV ready, or USB2.0 hub, the AL1715 does provide a dazzling 12ms response time, 300 cd/m2, 17" viewing area, and excellent build/image quality. Although the lack of physical adjustments and DVI support were the two main sticking points that we feel could be improved upon by Acer engineers at this time, the ravishing image quality, price, LCD brightness, and overall craftsmanship easily outweighed the downsides. With both of our review units, we encountered no defective pixels or manufacturing imperfections. At about $250 a piece, these Acer LCDs are considerably cheaper than its competition. We feel the AL1715b 17" 12ms response LCD monitors are a terrific offering from Acer America, not only for simple office objectives, but also for playing your favorite games. These are some of the best economically priced displays to ever enter our labs.
