Upcoming Linux Benchmarks For July 2012

Here's some of the Linux benchmarks being planned for next month, plus it's time to seek any new Linux / open-source test requests and other feedback.

It's nearing the end of June, but until then there will be a lot of articles coming out and more into July. If you haven't noticed the heightened "burn rate" for the publishing queue in the past few days, until the end of the month you can expect many more articles. There's some lucrative ad deals to be executed to make it worthwhile to keep the article publishing rate up in order to meet traffic goals.

Among the articles still in the publishing queue for the next few days include an early look at Ubuntu 12.10 performance compared to Ubuntu 12.04 on x86, a look at the NVIDIA anti-aliasing modes on Kepler under Linux, Intel Ivy Bridge GLAMOR vs. UXA vs. SNA 2D benchmarks, more recent GCC 4.8 compiler tests, Fedora 17 vs. Ubuntu 12.04 LTS testing, Fedora vs. Ubuntu vs. Arch Linux on the PandaBoard, and some other ARMv7 Linux benchmarks.

Beyond what's already been tested and written, other upcoming topics include the usual:

- More open-source and closed-source Linux graphics driver benchmarks.
- Some more interesting ARMv7 tests from the PandaBoard ES, NVIDIA Tegra 3 Cardhu, and NVIDIA Tegra 2 Trim-Slice.
- More benchmarks of the Linux 3.5 kernel.
- Debian GNU/kFreeBSD vs. Debian GNU/Linux vs. Ubuntu performance results.
- Any new Steam / Source Engine Linux news from Valve.
- Coverage from DebConf. I'm set to be in Nicaragua next month for DebConf, although the location is not too inviting.
- Continued coverage of Intel's fascinating Ivy Bridge hardware.
