That Was Quick: Here's Linux 2.6.38-rc2 Kernel

The Linux 2.6.38 kernel is shaping up to be very exciting even though it's first release candidate arrived just four days ago. Tonight, however, the Linux 2.6.38-rc1 kernel has already been superseded by the Linux 2.6.38-rc2 release.

The Linux 2.6.38-rc2 kernel is coming already because Linus Torvalds (along with many other Linux kernel developers) are about to leave on their annual mecca to Australia for the Linux.Conf.Au conference. Linus wanted to get the 2.6.38-rc2 kernel out of the way before leaving.

Due to the short time between -rc1 and -rc2, the changes aren't too interesting or lengthy, besides the fact that the 2.6.38 merge window has already been closed.. The Linux 2.6.38-rc2 release announcement can be found at LKML.org.
