Posted by Michael Larabel on July 17, 2012

There's another Tuesday release of a new Wine development version. This second development release for July brings RandR 1.2/1.3 support plus parser improvements to the HLSL shader compiler.

The official change-log for Wine 1.5.9 from WineHQ.org cites:

- Support for GPOS font tables in Uniscribe.
- Support for XRandr 1.2 and 1.3.
- Parser improvements for the HLSL compiler.
- More key exchange algorithms supported on Mac OS.
- Relay tracing on ARM.
- Various bug fixes.

Support for RandR 1.2/1.3 sticks out plus the parser improvements for the compiler of Microsoft's High Level Shader Language, which is the shader language for Direct3D.
