Fedora 16 Release Candidate 1 Arrives Late

Posted by Michael Larabel on October 29, 2011

Following a delay of a few days due to un-cleared blocker bugs, Fedora 16 Final Release Candidate 1 was made available on Saturday morning for those interested in testing the Verne release.

The F16-Verne blocker bug list is effectively cleared (one left) after Fedora developers were wrangling with the remaining bugs the past few days. The Fedora 16 final release is going to be taking place now on the 8th of November.

For those not up to speed on the changes shipping in Fedora 16, see the Fedora 16 articles on Phoronix and in particular my look at Fedora 16 Alpha.

After the early November release of Fedora 16, it's on to working on the Beefy Miracle. Find the Fedora 16 RC1 release announcement and download links in this mailing list message.
