For those that missed it, besides today marking the release of Fedora 16, Mozilla Firefox 8.0 has been officially released.

Firefox 8.0 builds for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X began appearing over the weekend, but today they were officially released by Mozilla.

Details on Firefox 8.0 are available from this Mozilla blog post.

The major changes include support for Twitter search in Firefox, tab loading on-demand, disabling of automatic installation of third-party add-ons without permission, WebGL improvements, and greater HTML5 support. Firefox for Android has also been boosted.
