The IOzone 8GB write performance was not different when installed by Wubi or not.

The IOzone 8GB read performance was also close to the same under both test configurations.

When measuring the time to unpack the Linux kernel source-code package, Ubuntu 10.10 on a real EXT4 partition was slightly faster than when carried out in the Wubi installation.
