Ubuntu 9.04 vs. Mac OS X 10.5.6 Benchmarks

It was by a very slim margin, but Ubuntu was faster as well with the Successive Over Relaxation performance in Java SciMark; 548 Mflops for Ubuntu and 532 Mflops for Mac OS X.

Ubuntu 9.04 was 335% faster than Mac OS X 10.5.6 with the Monte Carlo performance in Java SciMark 2.0.

In our final test, which was looking at the composite performance of NIST's Java SciMark 2.0, Ubuntu was on top with 355 Mflops compared to Apple's 253 Mflops.
