Turning back to the graphics performance, but this time with a look at 2D using the synthetic GtkPerf benchmark. The GtkComboBox performance was better with Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha 4, which can be attributed to the stabilized UXA being used as the acceleration architecture in Ubuntu 9.10 compared with the non-GEM EXA in Ubuntu 9.04.

While the GtkComboBox performance was better, the GtkDrawingArea - Pixbufs performance had regressed noticeably within the Ubuntu 9.10 code.

Only a slight improvement with the GtkRadioButton widget could be found.
