Ubuntu 21.04 Enjoys Better Performance But Still No Match To Intel's Clear Linux

The QuantLib quantitative finance benchmark was performing better compared to Ubuntu 20.10... 4% faster performance but Clear Linux came out around 2% faster still than the Ubuntu Hirsute Hippo release.

With the NAS Parallel Benchmarks there was headway made by Ubuntu into eating into the performance advantages of Clear Linux but that Intel platform was still squeezing out some extra juice.

Similarly, the Rodinia HPC benchmarks were in much better shape with Ubuntu 21.04 than 20.10.

The same goes for NAMD in seeing much greater out-of-the-box performance with Ubuntu 21.04 compared to its predecessor.
