The video encoding performance only saw some slight improvements for the current state of Ubuntu 19.04, which isn't too surprising considering the same GCC8 compiler is in use, just upgrading from GCC 8.2 to GCC 8.3.

Code compilation such as the time needed to build the Linux kernel was speedier with Ubuntu 19.04 and in fact nearly matching Clear Linux.
