The OpenCL performance was mixed between these drivers for the Darktable RAW photography software.

The 18.50 driver picked up another win with the JuliaGPU benchmark.

Kernel latency was much lower with ROCm 2.0.

With a few exceptions, the clpeak performance was generally similar or better with ROCm 2.0.

Hopefully the ROCm 2.1 release this year will bring more performance tuning as its clear from some of these OpenCL benchmarks there is still more room to grow on the software side.
