Raspberry Pi 3 Benchmarks vs. Eight Other ARM Linux Boards

John The Ripper's Blowfish test was up first and we see just how much of an improvement the Raspberry Pi 3 is over the Raspberry Pi 2. The RPi3 is about 62% faster for this crypto test compared to the RPi2 while keeping in mind Raspbian for the RPi3 is still 32-bit based. The Raspberry Pi 3 is now faster than the other low-end ARM development boards tested (and even the Jetson TK1 for this particular workload) while the Jetson TX1 is still certainly much faster.

With the C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracer, the Raspberry Pi 3 was about twice as fast as the Raspberry Pi 2 while this time the Jetson TK1 was still coming out faster along with the high-performance Jetson TX1 beauty.

For being priced the same as the Raspberry Pi 2, the Raspberry Pi 3 is certainly a nice performance upgrade...
