In some benchmarks, the performance was roughly the same across the three file-systems.

Due to only running this PC-BSD 10.1 vs. Ubuntu 14.10 vs. Fedora 21 performance comparison on a single system, I'll refrain from drawing any conclusions in this article but will run a larger BSD vs. Linux benchmark showdown if there's sufficient interest from Phoronix readers. I'll leave you though today with this overview chart of the results plus you can look at the results in closer detail via this OpenBenchmarking.org result file.
