With the first OpenCL test used, the histo test within Parboil, the NVIDIA hardware and their binary driver does better than AMD Catalyst on Linux to the point that the GTX 750 Ti even beats out the Radeon R9 290... The NVIDIA Maxwell GPU did better than all of the Radeon GPUs tested. When compared to previous-generation hardware, the GTX 750 Ti did great as well and showed an impressive performance boost over Fermi and Kepler for the mid-range GPUs.

Rodinia's scientific program with the Leukocyte OpenCL workload also favored the NVIDIA GPUs when it came to Linux support and the 750 Ti was approaching twice the speed of the more power hungry GTX 550/650 series.
