For being a $100 graphics card, the heatsink fan atop the GK107 is fairly decent. During operation it was quiet and did its job efficiently. MSI claims its Propeller Blade Technology allows for 20% more airflow compared to traditional fan designs and increases the dissipation area. MSI's other advertised AIB benefits are ALL Solid Capacitors, Afterburner, and Live Update 5. The Afterburner and Live Update 5 features, however, are meaningless to Linux users since these are Windows-only software features for overclocking and video BIOS updating.

This MSI GeForce GTX 650 graphics card has two dual-link DVI connectors and a mini HDMI 1.4a connector. The maximum screen resolution supported by the GTX 650 is 2560 x 1600.

For supplying enough power to the NVIDIA GK107 core, the GeForce GTX 650 requires one external 6-pin PCI Express power adapter.

Dimensions on this graphics card include 230 x 111 x 38 mm and the weight is 385 grams.
