Overclocking The NVIDIA Quadro FX1700

While the GPU frequency received a 10% boost and the memory frequency was heightened by 25%, this change wasn't noticeable in all of the SPECViewPerf tests. There were minimal changes with 3DS Max, Light, Pro/Engineer, and SolidWorks. With Catia, EnSight, Maya, and TCVIS the impact was most noticeable. Most workstation users, however, aren't interested in overclocking their graphics card(s), but this was just done as an interesting experiment. During all of this, the consumer-grade Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB had sharply lagged behind this mid-range NVIDIA workstation graphics card.
