NVIDIA 2012 Linux Graphics Driver Year-In-Review

There weren't any significant performance differences with the open-source Xonotic first person shooter.
Overall, in the Linux OpenGL benchmarks used on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 "Fermi" graphics card, there wasn't any huge performance changes when testing the default settings. The NVIDIA 310 driver did introduce the threaded OpenGL mode that other testing has shown can deliver better performance in certain games/applications. While the performance didn't vastly change this year from driver updates, the NVIDIA driver releases in 2012 did provide some very exciting features as talked about at the beginning of this article.
