Finally with the vDrift racing game we found a difference between the NVIDIA driver releases. The NVIDIA 185.18.14 driver had a performance regression at the higher resolutions, but this was quickly corrected in the NVIDIA 190.42 driver. Beyond that though there's not much to look at in terms of changes.

Turning to the more advanced and demanding proprietary game engines, with Quake 4 there was a moderate boost in performance (about seven FPS) with the 185.18.14 and 190.42 drivers compared to 180.44. However, most of this performance gain was wiped out with the 195.22 beta driver where right now it is running about four FPS slower than the 190.xx stream.

The Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Demo results ended up being similar to our Quake 4 numbers, which is not too surprising. The 185.18.14 and 190.42 drivers were faster than the 180.44 release, but it slowed down with the most recent 195.22 beta.
