With BioShock Infinite and Metro Last Light Redux they require OpenGL 4.1, which isn't supported by the pre-Fermi graphics cards. However, I included them for this comparison just as they are nice and demanding OpenGL tests if you'd like to see how the 1080p performance has evolved from Fermi to Maxwell.

The GTX 750 and higher could run BioShock Infinite at 60+ FPS.

Metro Last Light Redux wouldn't be considered playable unless using the GeForce GTX 750 at a minimum.

With OpenArena at 1080p, going from the GeForce 8500GT to GTX 950 yields a 21x improvement in performance. From the GeForce 8600GT to GTX 960 is a 10x improvement in performance. At 1080p for this OpenGL 2 era ioquake3 game, the 9800GTX runs rather well due to its higher clock speeds.
