These results for the NVIDIA Linux driver over 2015 weren't really exciting, but that isn't too surprising for the GTX 780 Ti and GTX 980. NVIDIA's Linux driver has long been on a level playing field with the NVIDIA Windows driver thanks to the largely common code-base, thus delivering excellent performance from the start. The NVIDIA proprietary Linux driver continues to run much faster than the AMD Catalyst/Radeon driver on Linux as routinely outlined in Phoronix articles. Most interesting from the NVIDIA Linux driver stack in 2015 were the prominent changes listed on the first page of this article but for a few games there were some performance improvements to note while also a few very small performance regressions.
