Onto one of the more interesting benchmarks... The always demanding Unigine Valley.

For this demanding OpenGL benchmark, the Radeon R9 Fury on Linux 4.6 + Mesa 11.3-dev was still coming up short with this Fiji card coming up short of the GeForce GTX 970. The Radeon R7 370 / R9 270X meanwhile were running between the speed of a GTX 750 and GTX 950 Ti.

The performance-per-Watt for reference.

Also a look at the GPU core temperatures during testing of Unigine Valley, for those curious.

Xonotic with ultimate image quality settings still had the Radeon R9 Fury performance coming up short on Linux 4.6 + Mesa 11.3-dev. The R9 Fury performance was the same as the R9 290 during this game test, which was well lower than it should be if the drivers were 100% up to par. The R9 Fury performance was short of the GeForce GTX 950 in this test.

On the bright side, at least the performamnce-per-Watt of the R9 Fury isn't too bad?
