Antergos, Manjaro, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora & OpenSUSE Performance Showdown
First up with the PostMark disk benchmark, Debian 8.2, Ubuntu 15.10, and Antergos 2015.10 were running close to the same speed while CentOS 7 and openSUSE 42.1 were noticeably slower than the other distributions. CentOS 7 and openSUSE were both using XFS for the file-system of the home directory where the Phoronix Test Suite benchmarks are conducted from by default (~/.phoronix-test-suite/).
With the PostgreSQL database benchmark, CentOS 7 and openSUSE 42.1 remained slower than the other distributions.
With the Redis benchmark, there was minimal fluctuation between these late-2015 Linux distributions.
