This netbook-oriented desktop environment can also tie in with social networking web-sites for real time status updates through Twitter, Last.fm, and other services. The different panels along the top of the Moblin v2.0 desktop include m_zone, Status, People, Internet, Media, Pasteboard, Applications, and Zones. Displayed in the system information area is the network connection, volume control, power status, Bluetooth (not yet implemented) and a legacy system tray.

Not only is the desktop shell written in Clutter, but so is the web-browser. The Mozilla Gecko engine is used for rendering web-pages, but the Moblin developers had wrote the browser user interface in Clutter. This browser is integrated quite tightly, but well, with the desktop. There is also a new interface for their own connection manager (ConnMan) since they decided to not use NetworkManager. Moblin's "Zoomable" media player is also integrated with the Clutter environment quite well.
