After Mesa 9.1 already delivered significant performance improvements for this Ivy Bridge performance, this next Mesa release is already poised to deliver better performance -- just two months after the Mesa 9.1 debut.

Even the old OpenArena 0.8.5 performance is improved with the current Git code. This next Mesa release might be known as Mesa 10.0 rather than Mesa 9.2 assuming core Mesa becomes fully compatible with OpenGL 3.2/3.3 prior to release-time.

With the newer OpenArena 0.8.8 release, there isn't too much change in performance.

The World of Padman game is one of the few tests where current Mesa Git drops back to where it was performing in Mesa 9.0.
