While OpenArena was faster, it appears with Mesa 9.1 the X1800XT performance is slower in Padman, another ioquake3 game.

Reaction was the fastest on Mesa 7.10.3, but that's because with that old Mesa release the R300g driver was rendering the game's graphics incorrectly.

The Tremulous and Urban Terror results are largely uninteresting for this Mesa R300g OpenGL performance comparison.
