As far as image quality goes, there were improvements spotted in some of the OpenGL games while it made less of a difference in some of the already laxed games (e.g. OpenArena). With the image quality screenshots in this article, they are of Nexuiz because there is the nexuiz-iqc test profile for the Phoronix Test Suite. With the Nexuiz screenshots you can only find subtle differences.

If anyone would like to see image quality screenshots for other games and are unable to run the tests themselves, then new PTS test profiles are welcome to do this automatically and it will happily be used in the future articles. You can get started by running "phoronix-test-suite benchmark nexuiz-iqc" and the test profile is within "~/.phoronix-test-suite/test-profiles/pts/nexuiz-iqc*/" as a starting point for how the games/OpenGL engines can hook into the Phoronix Test Suite framework for providing automated screenshot capturing and comparing. For other details on some of the imaging capabilities of the Phoronix Test Suite see the Going Beyond Just Measuring Frame Rates article from 2009.
