While the Fhourstones performance alone does not mean much in terms of real-world performance, with Mac OS X Lion it has regressed some.

The MAFFT scientific test is still slower on Apple's Mac OS X than Ubuntu Linux.

When running the multi-platform Nexuiz game at 800 x 600, the proprietary NVIDIA driver on Ubuntu is about 20% faster than the OSX-integrated NVIDIA driver. With the latest developer preview there is less than a one-frame difference between it and Mac OS X 10.6.6.
