Examination:

The Logitech G15 is really a one of a kind keyboard with its unique GamePanel LCD that has appeared on only a few iterations of Logitech keyboards. This GamePanel LCD is designed to inform the user of events within the game or even of other events such as someone speaking in their VoIP program or a new message arriving. Macros can be created to update the LCD display depending upon your needs. We will share more later, but yes, this LCD panel does even work with Linux. All of the keys on the G15 also have backlight illumination to make it easy to see all of the keys in the dark. Another characteristic about this keyboard are the six programmable G-keys found on the left hand side of the keyboard.

In addition to the programmable G-keys, there are also a number of multimedia keys positioned along the top. The basic multimedia keys can be found around the LCD panel such as play, pause, stop, back, forward, and the volume control. Aside from the 29 function keys, the Logitech G15 has 104 common keys in a standard layout. A palm/wrist rest can also be attached to the bottom of this keyboard.

From the underside of the keyboard, the standard props for lifting the keyboard to a slight angle can be seen along with a series of channels to cleanly route cables underneath the keyboard. In addition, the keyboard has an integrated two-port USB 2.0 hub.
