In continuing with the Unigine Heaven data, the Radeon R9 290 was easily the hottest graphics card of the GPUs tested. The R9 290 had an average temperature of 88 Celsius and peaked at 93°C while it idled at 66°C. Meanwhile, the coolest graphics card was the Sapphire R9 270X with its three-fan configuration. All of the NVIDIA GPUs were hovering around the upper 70s.

The GTX 780 Ti and GTX TITAN were the most power-hungry graphics cards tested, followed by the Radeon R9 290.
