When starting with the Flexible I/O Tester in a common configuration used for our file-system benchmarks, the F2FS results aren't too good for this workload. F2FS was faster than Btrfs, but it was over three times slower than EXT4 and other file-systems like EXT3, XFS, and even JFS and ReiserFS were faster than this flash-optimized log-based file-system.

While the Flash-Friendly File-System weren't too good on the Intel X25 SSD for FIO, for FS-Mark its performance was on top. F2FS delivered slightly superior results to even Btrfs and EXT4.
