Linux 5.2 + Mesa 19.2 Performance With Polaris/Vega/Vega20 vs. NVIDIA On Ubuntu 19.04

With Rise of the Tomb Raider, a native Linux game using Vulkan and the most recent Tomb Raider port by Feral Interactive, the Radeon VII was performing in line with the RTX 2070.

With Strange Brigade, a title using Steam Play to run the Windows version of the game wonderfully on Linux, the Radeon VII performance was between the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 while the RX Vega 64 matched the RTX 2060.

When hitting the game harder with 4K ultra quality settings, the Radeon VII was more competitive on RADV and managed to perform in-line with the GTX 1080 Ti and RTX 2080 while the RX Vega 64 achieved the game average frame-rate as the GTX 1080.
