Due to the incomplete overclocking support, with most graphics cards not yet being able to run in their highest performance state, for this article I refrained from any fresh comparisons against the proprietary NVIDIA Linux graphics card until the support is further matured. You can take today's results as a preview of the potential so far for the Nouveau driver with this initial Kepler re-clocking support.

All of this benchmarking was done in a fully-automated manner via the Phoronix Test Suite software using the drm-next code merged for the Linux 3.16 merge window. Testing happened from the Intel Core i7 4790K Devil's Canyon system running Ubuntu 14.04.
