Linux Gaming Benchmarks With Plasma-Next, KDE Frameworks 5
For the most part, the performance when running the next-gen KDE stack is unchanged compared to its predecessor.
The only test that was really weird was when running Warsow with the Project Neon state that the performance was super slow compared to the other desktops.
Overall, aside from the Warsow situation of slow performance, the KDE Frameworks 5 / Plasma-Next stack appears to be in a good performant state for at least not impairing the Linux gaming experience. These early figures show the performance still being on-par with Ubuntu's Unity and KDE 4.13.0. Stay tuned for more next-gen KDE benchmarks later in the summer.
