With x264 video encoding the i7-5960X was 35% faster than the Core i7 4960X and blew past all of the Haswell desktop CPUs.
The Core i7 5960X can build out the mainline Linux kernel in just about 42~43 seconds! The next best processor, the i7-4960X, took just over one minute along with the i7 4790K.
