With results similar to our SQLite test, when using Sunflow we had experienced much slower results using OpenSuSE 11.1 RC1. Ubuntu was the fastest followed by Fedora, Mandriva, and then OpenSuSE being over twice as slow as Mandriva.

OpenSuSE managed to pull out of last place when it came to the Java SciMark performance. Ubuntu had delivered the fastest performance for Fast Fourier Transforms followed by Fedora and then OpenSuSE. With the successive over relaxation performance, Ubuntu remained in first but OpenSuSE managed to pull a second place finish. Similar positioning was also found with the Monte Carlo performance gauged by Java SciMark.
