First up was the Parboil benchmarking where for this OpenMP threaded test the i7-7820X was right behind the i9-7900X. The i7-7820X was slightly ahead of the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X processor in this first test.

With some crypto testing via the Blowfish cipher for John The Ripper, the Core i7 7820X was again just a step behind the i9-7900X. But separating the Ryzen 7 1800X and i7 7820X were now the Xeon E5-1680 v3 and Xeon E5-2687W v3 Haswell server processors.

While in the TTSIOD phong CPU-based renderer, the i7-7820X now fell behind the Xeon E5 v3 CPUs tested and was just a hair behind the Ryzen 7 1800X.
