Those wanting to see dozens more Linux performance benchmarks of the Core i3 12100 and these other CPUs freshly re-tested can find all the data via this OpenBenchmarking.org result page or this aggregate Core i3 12100 performance overview page.

The Core i3 12100 at around $120 USD is a nice upgrade over generations-old Core i3 models, comes out slightly ahead of the Ryzen 3 3300X that can still be found for around $169 USD, and does work well under Linux. Those using modern Linux distributions should find the Intel Alder Lake processors functioning and performing well. That's the short story from my Linux testing experiences with the Core i3 12100 thus far.
