The 2011 GNOME User Survey Results

Most have never contacted the GNOME team, but some have tried to do so unsuccessfully and many are not sure how to contact them.

It is somewhat surprising to see the Xfce desktop environment being tried almost as much as KDE and is even ahead of Ubuntu's Unity. LXDE is also more popular with the respondents than Enlightenment.

Most are using GNOME without any extra window manager / extensions (so the default Metacity / Mutter) while Compiz remains popular for a great number of people.
