With the SciMark2 tests, Clang 3.6 was performing noticeably better than GCC 5.3.1.

With SciMark2 compiler benchmarks on x86, usually Clang is faster in one or two of the tests while with this POWER8 comparison the LLVM-based compiler was clear across the board faster.

Clang though did lose out to GCC 5.3.1 when it came to the Himeno Poisson Pressure Solver test.

It was a tight race for the 7zip compression benchmark.
