FreeBSD Can Compete With Ubuntu Linux, Windows 8

The Unigine Tropics performance with FreeBSD 9.1 was on par with Ubuntu Linux and Windows 8. Of course, this is only with the NVIDIA FreeBSD driver. AMD doesn't have any Catalyst driver for FreeBSD (or any other BSD distribution) and their open-source Radeon Linux graphics driver is still in the process of being ported to FreeBSD. Intel's open-source Linux graphics driver was already ported from Linux (and merged in FreeBSD 9.1), but that support obviously lacks behind the Intel Linux driver.
